 Harstine Island Adult Family Home
Quietly nestled under madrona, hemlock and cedar trees,
we offer full 24 hour care for the elderly in a beautiful and
serene northwest island setting. We have a warm and friendly home for six
residents, ensuring a safe living environment with support for multiple levels
of care. Individualized care plans, nurse consultants, and specialty
caregiver training provide resident focused quality care.

We believe in caring, loving, and supporting our
residents as if they are our own family. We understand that life changes
can be very difficult to adjust to. This touches our hearts as much as it
does yours. We strive to provide comfort during these transitional periods
so that individuals feel as comfortable , safe, and secure in our home as they
did in their own.
 Higher Levels of Care in a Family Environment
Some people don't know that adult family homes offer more than assisted living,
but are much more cost effective. We help folks with all the activities of daily
living that they can no longer do for themselves such as bathing, cooking,
medication management, getting dressed, and so on. Families are generally
relieved to finally find the right care setting for their mom, dad or spouse in
an adult family home. Sometimes a nursing home is not an option and assisted living isn't appropriate because of a
higher care need. Besides a lower rate and higher level of care, another
one of the benefits of an adult family home are that we are small--only licensed
for a maximum of six residents so we can respond more quickly to
personal needs. We don't have hundreds of patients and most rooms are private.
Our setting is much more intimate and personal. We all look out for
each other. We really are a family.
